Most likely there is a problem with the WiFi drivers, please provide some information about your system and hardware.

    1

Right click your Start Button and open Device Manager.

    Expand the 'Network Adapters' section.

Please provide a screenshot of that full Device Manager window.

    2

Click your Start Button, then just type msinfo and press Enter, please provide a screenshot of the resulting System Information window.

If the Wi‑Fi icon is missing in Windows 11, use this order:

    1. Check whether Wi‑Fi is available in Start > Settings > Network & Internet.
      • If Wi‑Fi is missing there, the adapter may not be available in Windows.
    2. Turn Airplane mode on and back off.
      • Go to Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Airplane mode.
      • Turn Airplane mode On, then Off.
      • Select Wi‑Fi and make sure Wi‑Fi is On.
    3. Force restart the PC.
      • Select Start > Power > Shut down.
      • Wait a moment.
      • Then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds.
    4. Check Device Manager for the Wi‑Fi adapter.
      • Open Device Manager.
      • Expand Network adapters.
      • If the Wi‑Fi adapter is listed, uninstall and reinstall it:
        1. Double-click the network adapter.
        2. Open the Driver tab.
        3. Select Uninstall Device.
        4. Select Delete the driver software for this device.
        5. Select OK.
        6. Restart the PC.
    5. If no Wi‑Fi networks appear, try basic connection checks:
      • Make sure any physical Wi‑Fi switch on the laptop is turned on.
      • Move closer to the router.
      • Make sure the Wi‑Fi password is correct.
      • If both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks appear, try the other one.
      • Try another trusted Wi‑Fi network.
    6. If Wi‑Fi still does not work, connect another way and install updates.
      • Use Ethernet if the PC has a port.
      • If internet is available, install the latest Windows and Surface updates from Windows Update.
      • If internet is not available, use another PC to download the driver package to a USB drive, copy it to the device, and install it.
    7. If no Wi‑Fi networks are listed during setup, advanced recovery is to reinstall the Wi‑Fi adapter driver from the device manufacturer.
      • Download the driver on another device.
      • Copy it to a USB flash drive.
      • The .inf file must be in the root of the flash drive, not in a subfolder.
