Dear Sirs:

I have an Outlook account that I created about a week ago. I do not remember the username or password. I need this information in order to sign into an Amazon account of mine under the Outlook login. Please help.

    Hello,

Find the partial email address of the username (Email address) using the recovery information.

    Go to this link: https://account.live.com/username/recover

Use your Security phone number or the email address associated with your account.

Microsoft will then show a hint of the username. Try recalling the username you created.

(OR) Check whether you’ve signed in with this Microsoft account on any of the services, such as Office 365 apps, the Outlook app, or Windows. You can also check your web browser's Password manager (Google or Edge) to see whether the credentials have been saved there.

If you are able to fetch the username, you can use the following link to reset your password:

    https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx

For a forgotten Outlook.com username and password, use this recovery path:

    1. Start with the Microsoft Sign-in Helper to identify the account issue and get the next recovery step.
    2. If the username is forgotten, use the Search option to look it up with a security phone number or alternate email address. After the security code is verified, a hint of the username is shown.
    3. If no security information was set up, check products or services where the account was already used:
      • Windows 10/11: Start > Settings > Accounts > Email & app accounts
      • Office apps: File > Account > under Product Information, check Belongs to
      • Check email accounts for Microsoft receipts or messages
    4. If the username is found but the password is forgotten, use Recover your account and follow the verification steps to set a new password.
    5. If the account still cannot be found or recovered, use Contact Microsoft Support. Support agents cannot send password reset links or change account details directly.

For Outlook.com and Hotmail accounts, the Outlook password is the same as the Microsoft account password.
