Your credentials are the username and password for your account on the computer to which you want to connect.

    Hi,

Generally, the credentials would be the administrator account for the user of this computer or an account to which you have granted access.

If the computer uses a Microsoft account, you would use that Microsoft account with its password—not the PIN.

You can also create a local user account specifically for sharing access.

If possible, please provide more details so I can guide you further.

    Thanks.

To find saved credentials on that Windows computer:

    1. On that PC, type Credential Manager in the taskbar search box.
    2. Select Credential Manager Control panel.
    3. Open Web Credentials or Windows Credentials.
    4. Look for the saved entry for the network computer, website, or app.

Credential Manager lets Windows view and delete saved credentials for websites, connected applications, and networks.

If the prompt is asking for the account name to use on that specific PC, the accepted guidance in Microsoft Q&A is to open Run with Win + R, run cmd /k whoami, and note the name shown after the backslash. That is the username to try for network sign-in.

If saved credentials are wrong, remove the matching entry under Windows Credentials and then reconnect so Windows prompts again for the correct sign-in.
