Try these steps on the Windows PC in this order:
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
- Windows 11: Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > turn Bluetooth on.
- Windows 10: Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices > turn Bluetooth on.
- Also make sure Airplane mode is off.
- Check the engraver itself.
- Make sure the Daja DJ7 is powered on.
- Keep it close to the PC.
- Turn the engraver off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.
- If it is near USB 3.0 devices, move it farther away because USB interference can affect Bluetooth.
- Make the PC discoverable.
- Windows 11: Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices. Under Device settings > Bluetooth devices discovery, choose Advanced.
- Windows 10: Start > Settings > Bluetooth & other devices > More Bluetooth options > Options tab > check Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC.
- Remove the device and pair it again.
- Windows 11: Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices > select More options for the device > Remove device > Yes.
- Windows 10: Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices > select the device > Remove device > Yes.
- Then try pairing the DJ7 again.
- Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter.
- Windows 11: run the Bluetooth troubleshooter in the Get Help app.
- Windows 10: Start > Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Bluetooth > Run the troubleshooter.
- Update the Bluetooth driver.
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Bluetooth.
- Right-click the Bluetooth adapter.
- Select Update driver > Search automatically for updated driver software.
- Restart the PC if prompted.
- If Windows does not find a newer driver, install the latest Bluetooth driver from the PC manufacturer’s website.
- If Bluetooth is missing or still fails, reinstall the adapter.
- In Device Manager, expand Bluetooth.
- Right-click the Bluetooth adapter and select Uninstall device.
- Shut down the PC, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on so Windows can reinstall the driver.
- If it does not reinstall automatically, open Device Manager and use Action > Scan for hardware changes.
If the DJ7 still shows “Try to connect again” after these steps, the next check is whether the engraver is in its correct Bluetooth pairing mode, because Windows can only connect when the device is actively discoverable.
