Done step by step. Still get same error. thanks
Microsoft Store Error 0x80070422
Running Windows 11 Pro, Version 25H2, OS Build 26200.9457, Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.360.0
I have checked and reset it the Windows update Service, BITS, Orchestrator and they are all running fine. I have changed the startup state and put it back as documents indicate and I still can't login because i get the Error 0x80070422.
nothing works. Any ideas other than messing with the Windows services?
thanks

Press Start then search Services
Find Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant in the list then double click it
Select Automatic (Delayed Start) on the Startup Type and click on Start
Click Apply and OK.

2026-09-19T20:42:42.4233333+00:00 Since Windows Update, BITS, and Orchestrator have already been checked and restarted, the next supported path is to focus on Store repair and broader Windows repair rather than changing services again.
- Update Windows fully
- Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
- Install any available updates, then restart.
- Update Microsoft Store itself
- Open Microsoft Store.
- Select Library > Get updates.
- If a Store update is available, let it install automatically.
- Repair or reset Microsoft Store
- Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Select Microsoft Store > Advanced options.
- Select Repair first.
- If the issue continues, select Reset.
- Note: Reset can clear app data for that app.
- Reinstall the Store app from Library
- In Microsoft Store, select Library.
- Find the app and select Install.
- Run system file repair
- Open Command Prompt as administrator.
- Run:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth - Wait for the success message.
- Then run:
sfc /scannow - Wait for verification to reach 100%, then restart and test Microsoft Store again.
- If Windows Update components may still be corrupted, reset the update cache
- Warning: this is an advanced admin procedure.
- Open Command Prompt as administrator and run these commands one at a time:
net stop bits net stop wuauserv ren %systemroot%\softwaredistribution softwaredistribution.bak ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 catroot2.bak net start bits net start wuauserv - Restart the PC and try Store sign-in again.
- If the problem still persists, use an in-place repair install of Windows 11
