how do I block website that is malicious

Use Microsoft Edge with Microsoft Defender SmartScreen turned on. Edge can identify phishing and malware websites and block access to malicious sites.

For a stronger cleanup if the site or malware keeps coming back:

1. Avoid reopening the site or any related download pages.
2. In Windows Security, run an offline scan:
   • Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection
   • Under Current threats, select Scan options
   • Select Windows Defender Offline scan
   • Select Scan now
   • Save work first, because the PC restarts before the scan.
3. Keep Windows and apps updated so the latest protections stay enabled.
4. Use Microsoft Defender Antivirus real-time protection.
5. If a browser page is just showing fake security pop-ups, close the browser with Task Manager if needed, reopen without restoring the session, and clear cached images/files.

To help prevent future access to unsafe sites:
