right hand toggle slider keeps disappearing

The right hand toggle slider to move a page up and down keeps disappearing after typing in key terms into the search bar and hitting enter.

Everything is up to date.

Switched laptop off then on again.

Can not find anything in settings for this tool.

This is becoming a nightmare. Help

    Hi Paula,

    Good day. I will assume that this problem is occurring on your MS Word. Since restarting the laptop didn't help, let's check Word's scroll-bar setting first:

    1. Open Word.
    2. Go to File > Options > Advanced.
    3. Scroll down to the Display section.
    4. Make sure Show vertical scroll bar is checked.
    5. Click OK, close Word completely, then open it again.

    Microsoft specifically recommends this setting for Word 2021.

    If the setting is already checked, the fact that the scroll bar disappears only after entering a search term and pressing Enter may point to a problem with Word's Find/Search interface rather than the normal scroll-bar setting.

    May i know what version of Word you are using? Also, does the scroll bar come back when you close the Search/Find box? Lastly, if this issue also happen with a new blank Word document?

    Update me if nothing works.
