I wanted to work on my creative writing skills, so I opened up the chat and got: "Copilot is still loading. You can keep waiting or try again." I press retry again and again. Still the same page. I used Youtube and get help app. It doesn't got any trouble shooting. but it worked last night.

    Hi,

Try resetting the app first to see if that fixes the issue. From the Start menu, right-click Copilot and select App settings. From there, click Terminate, then select Reset. After reset, restart the computer and see if it works.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Check basic requirements in Edge/Copilot
      • Copilot on Windows and in Edge requires a supported account and platform.
      • On desktop, make sure the signed-in account is not a Child account.
      • If testing in Edge, use a normal desktop Edge window. Copilot is not available in PWA or Web App windows.
    2. Verify internet connectivity
      • If the device is offline, Copilot can show a loading state or a no-internet screen.
      • Confirm the PC has an active internet connection, then retry.
    3. Restart the app or refresh the session
      • Quit Copilot completely, then reopen it.
      • If using Copilot on the web or in Edge, refresh the page.
    4. Check whether the issue is app-specific
      • Open Copilot in Edge and see whether it loads there.
      • If it works in Edge but not in the Windows app, the issue is likely with the app session or app installation.
    5. Repair or reinstall the Copilot app
      • To uninstall on Windows 11: go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps, search for Copilot, select …, then select Uninstall.
      • Reinstall it from the Microsoft Store.
    6. Check for a service issue
      • If Copilot still does not load after several retries and the internet connection is working, the service might be experiencing an outage. Check the Microsoft 365 Service health status page and try again later.
    7. If chats or content seem missing after it starts working again
      • Make sure the same sign-in method and account are being used.
      • Quit and reopen Copilot, and allow time if content is still moving to the updated experience.

If the app keeps showing only “Copilot is still loading” after these steps, the most relevant supported path is to test in Edge, then remove and reinstall the Windows app.
