I have tried for hours to get support and keep getting sent back to the same unhelpful Support Assistant. My OneNote will not sync with my new iPhone. I have tried all of the suggestions given and it still does not work. I would very much like to speak with a real human being to resolve this, as the Support Assistants have not been able to help. What do I need to do?

For a Microsoft 365 for home or personal OneNote issue, the supported path to reach a real person is through Microsoft Support chat.

    1. Go to Microsoft Support contact.
    2. Choose Office or Microsoft 365 and Office.
    3. Select Get home support or Technical Support.
    4. Choose Contact Support.
    5. Select Chat in a web browser with a support specialist or Chat with a support agent in your web browser.

For OneNote sync on iPhone, these are the supported troubleshooting steps before escalation:

    1. In OneNote on iPhone, pull down the Notebooks list to force a sync. A spinning progress indicator should appear while open notebooks re-sync.
    2. Make sure the latest version of OneNote for iOS is installed.
    3. Sign out of all accounts associated with OneNote, then sign in again.
    4. Check whether the issue matches any currently known iPhone/iPad sync issues.
    5. If OneNote shows a WORKING OFFLINE message, tap Refresh Now.
    6. If the notebook still will not sync after that, use Help > Feedback in the app to send diagnostic information, and use the OneNote community/forum support options.

If the goal is direct human assistance rather than the Support Assistant loop, the chat support route is the documented escalation path in the provided material.
