Outlook Email

For Outlook for Windows, add an AOL account like this:

1. Open Outlook.
2. Select File > Add Account.
3. Enter the AOL email address and select Connect.
4. When prompted for a password, use an AOL app password instead of the normal AOL account password.

If Outlook shows a message asking for an app password, get it from the AOL account security page, then paste that app password into Outlook when prompted.

If automatic setup does not work, use manual setup in classic Outlook:

1. Select File > Add Account.
2. Enter the AOL email address.
3. Select Advanced options.
4. Check Let me set up my account manually.
5. Select Connect.
6. Choose IMAP.
7. Enter the server settings if needed, then finish setup.

For AOL SMTP, the documented outgoing server setting is:

• Server: smtp.aol.com
• Port: 587
