This usually happens when the taskbar height was changed or the taskbar is partially hidden.
Try these steps in order:
- Check whether the taskbar is auto-hidden
- Move the pointer to the very bottom edge of the screen.
- If the taskbar slides up, auto-hide is turned on.
- To change it, right-click the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.
- Expand Taskbar behaviors.
- Turn Automatically hide the taskbar off.
- Resize the taskbar
- If the taskbar is unlocked, move the pointer over the border of the taskbar until the pointer becomes a double arrow.
- Drag the border to increase the height, then release.
- Restart Windows Explorer
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
- Find Windows Explorer.
- Select Restart.
- This refreshes the taskbar and can restore missing or partially visible taskbar elements.
- Check taskbar location and behavior settings
- Go to Start > Settings > Personalization > Taskbar.
- Expand Taskbar behaviors.
- Review alignment and auto-hide settings.
If the taskbar is still cut off after that, the display may be rendering incorrectly on another screen. Press Windows + P and select PC screen only.
