How do I restore Word, Excel etc. Getting an error message

Word, Excel etc are giving me an error message and won't run: We're sorry but Excel has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. Excel will need to be closed as a result. Would you like us to repair now?

It will not repair it and there is no help. Can you help me? It is suggested I need to uninstall and reinstall it. How will I do that?

    Hello,

    Try running an Office Online Repair -

    Go to Start > Settings > System > Apps > Installed Apps.

    Locate 'Microsoft Office' in the list, click the three dots next to it, and select Modify.

    Select Online Repair, then Repair.

    Install using click-to-run

    If Repair Now doesn't help, exit all Office apps and run an Online Repair; see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/lifecycle/repair-an-office-application .

    Note that an Online Repair usually requires that you reinstall Office, and therefore you should verify that you can access your account at https://account.microsoft.com/services and that your Office product is associated with it.
