I can receive these emails on my outlook on my phone, but not on the laptop - just stopped yesterday.

Since the messages still arrive on the phone, the mailbox is likely receiving mail and the issue is with classic Outlook on the laptop.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Check whether classic Outlook is offline.
      • In Outlook, look at the status bar at the bottom.
      • If it shows Disconnected, Working Offline, or Trying to connect, go to Send/Receive on the ribbon and select Work Offline to switch back online.
      • Then try Send/Receive again.
    2. If the missing messages are only not showing in the Inbox in Cached mode, clear the Inbox sync state.
      • Right-click Inbox > Properties.
      • Open the General tab.
      • Select Clear Offline Items.
      • Confirm the prompt that the data was removed from the Outlook data file (.ost).
      • Select OK.
      • Click the Inbox in the Navigation Pane, then press Shift+F9 to force the Inbox to resynchronize.
      • This removes the local cached copy for that folder and downloads it again.
    3. Start Outlook with the Inbox processing cleanup switch.
      • Close Outlook.
      • Press Windows key + R.
      • Run:
             Outlook.exe /cleanips

      • This can fix messages that were synchronized but are stuck in Outlook’s incoming item processing pipeline and therefore do not appear in the Cached mode Inbox.
    4. Test Outlook in Safe Mode.
      • Press the Windows key.
      • Type:
             outlook.exe /safe

      • Press Enter.
      • If mail appears or sync works in Safe Mode, an add-in may be interfering.
    5. If the problem started suddenly yesterday, also check whether the laptop Outlook needs the account password updated.
      • If the password was changed recently, Outlook may stop syncing until the new sign-in is completed.
    6. If Outlook still does not update, repair the Outlook app or Outlook profile.
      • Microsoft recommends repairing the classic Outlook program or repairing/creating a new Outlook profile if send/receive problems continue.
