Using New Outlook on Windows for professional communication and productivity
In new Outlook for Windows, there is currently no full calendar zoom control like the old Ctrl+mouse wheel behavior from classic Outlook. The available adjustment is Time scale, which changes the time intervals shown in the calendar, but it does not zoom the entire calendar view.
To fit more of the day on one screen:
- Open Calendar.
- Use the Time scale option on the toolbar.
- Choose a larger interval such as 30 minutes or 60 minutes to compress the vertical space used by the day.
Important details:
- 30-minute increments already reduce the space compared with smaller intervals.
- If the goal is to see 7 AM to 7 PM without scrolling, increasing the Time scale can help show more hours at once.
- New Outlook for Windows does not currently support adjusting the overall calendar display with a zoom slider or Ctrl+scroll.
If a full-day fit on screen is still not possible after changing Time scale, that limitation is by design in new Outlook for Windows.
