How to remove an pending Windows Update item for a uninstalled program

I have had Logitech stuff installed before, but after uninstalled it (with Revo Uninstall) it still promt me to update Logitech in Windows Update and I don't know how to get rid of it! How do I get rid of it?

Hi,

It is still best to download driver updates from your PC manufacturer's support website.

I recommend hiding the update using the Show or Hide tool instead.

Download and install the tool here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/2/2/F22D5FDB-59CD-4275-8C95-1BE17BF70B21/wushowhide.diagcab then run the troubleshooter. Choose to hide the Logitech Extension Driver Update (2.0.1012.0) so Windows will not install it again.

Click Next > Hide Updates > Choose Logitech Extension Driver Update (2.0.1012.0) to hide then hit next.

Note: If you encounter a warning message while downloading the file, select 'Keep.'

First my AV blocked the download of this file so I had to overide that.

When I came in to the first screen it says that this tool is about to be retired (see screenshot)

But I run it and select the Logitech updates to hide.

I restarted my computer and got a Bluescreen and chosed to restart again and this time I logged in without any trouble.

But when I open Windows Update in Settings, the update from Logitech is still there!?!

Thank you for the update. I’m sorry that the steps provided so far have not resolved the issue. I also tried looking for a newer replacement for the Windows Show or Hide Updates troubleshooting tool, but I was unable to find one.

Since I don’t have any additional troubleshooting steps to recommend at this point, I’ll leave this thread open for other advisors to review. If anyone has a solution or additional suggestions, they can reply in this same thread, and you will be notified.
