Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
If the blue text is for unread messages in the message list, that is controlled by Conditional Formatting in classic Outlook.
- Open Outlook.
- Go to View > View Settings.
- Select Conditional Formatting.
- Select Unread messages.
- Change the font color to Black.
If the issue is the overall Outlook background and message background, switch Outlook to a light theme:
- Go to File > Office Account.
- Under Office Theme, select White.
If Outlook is using the Black theme but the message background should stay white:
- Go to File > Options.
- Select General.
- Under Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office, check Never change the message background color.
If the blue color is inside messages being composed, the default font color can also be changed:
- Go to File > Options > Mail.
- Under Compose messages, select Stationery and Fonts.
- Under New mail messages or Replying or forwarding messages, select Font.
- Set Font color to the preferred color, then select OK.
