Email Address Restoration

If the email account was only removed from the laptop when New Outlook was uninstalled, the mailbox and emails may still be available in Outlook on the web or Outlook.com.

For deleted mail items:

1. Open Outlook on the web or Outlook.com.
2. Check Deleted Items first.
3. If the messages are not there, open Deleted Items and select Recover deleted or Recover items deleted from this folder.
4. Select the messages and choose Restore.

For deleted contacts:

1. In Outlook on the web or Outlook.com, select People.
2. Open the Deleted folder.
3. If the contact is there, right-click it and select Restore.
4. If it is not there, select Recover deleted, then select the contact and choose Restore.

If the contact does not appear in People, try refreshing the page. If it still does not appear, check Mail > Deleted Items, then right-click the item and select Restore.

If old Outlook data was stored locally on the laptop before Windows or Outlook changes, look for a .pst file in these locations:

• C:\Users\<YourUsername>\Documents\Outlook Files\
• C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\

If a .pst file is found, open Outlook desktop and use:

File > Open & Export > Open Outlook Data File

That can restore access to old emails, contacts, calendars, and folders stored in the file.
