Does anyone know why this keeps popping up all of a sudden? I’m sorry, I’m having trouble responding to requests right now. Let’s try this again in a bit.—

    Have a look at:

    https://status.cloud.microsoft/

User impact: Users may not receive responses to their Microsoft Copilot queries and instead receive an error message. More info: Users may receive an "I'm sorry, I'm having trouble responding to requests right now. Let's try this again in a bit." error message when submitting queries to Microsoft Copilot. Current status: We've confirmed that a recent change to our network infrastructure resulted in connection issues, leading to impact. We're working on rolling back this change to resolve the issue and in tandem continue our work to provision additional capacity to help mitigate impact.

That message usually indicates a temporary backend or service-side issue, not a problem with the prompt itself.

    Documented causes include:

    • Copilot is at capacity and temporarily unavailable due to backend resource constraints. In that case, retry after a short time.
    • In some Copilot experiences, an unexpected error occurred, and rephrasing or retrying can help.
    • If the issue is in the updated Copilot app, restarting the app or refreshing the page can help. If content or chats seem affected, they may still be moving to the updated experience.
    • If the issue is in classic Outlook Copilot Draft, there was a known issue in version 2605 that was fixed by a service change. Restart Outlook to pick up the fix.

If the problem keeps happening in the Copilot app, report it from the app:

    1. Select the ellipsis () in the upper-right corner.
    2. Select Send feedback.
    3. Select Report a problem.
    4. Include when it started, device and OS details, and a screenshot.
