Can't get my printer to recognize my password

If the printer is rejecting a username or password for scan-to-PC, the issue is usually Windows network credentials or sharing settings rather than a typo.

Try these steps in order:

1. Verify the account the PC expects
   • Shared printers and scan/network access can require valid credentials from the PC.
   • Use the same Microsoft account or local user account on both devices, or enter the username and password of the host PC when prompted.

If the sign-in being requested is a Windows Hello PIN, that PIN is local to that specific PC and is not the Microsoft account password.
