To keep everything under one Microsoft Learn profile, use the profile that already has the certifications as the main profile, then add the other account to it.
Steps:
- Sign in to Microsoft Learn with the account that already contains the certifications.
- Open Profile → Settings.
- Under Account Management, select Add login account.
- Sign in with the corporate/work account.
- If that work account is already tied to another Learn profile, this triggers a profile merge.
What happens after the merge:
- Learning progress, credentials, and transcripts are combined into one profile.
- Duplicate learning content is removed.
- Sign-in continues to work with all login accounts on both profiles.
- The merge cannot be undone.
Important limits and rules:
- A Learn profile can have one personal Microsoft account and up to five work or school accounts.
- Personal Microsoft accounts and Microsoft 365 work or school accounts cannot be merged as account types, but they can be used side by side on the same Learn profile.
- If the merge would exceed five work or school accounts, the merge is canceled.
Recommended setup for this case:
- Keep the personal account attached to the Learn profile, because Microsoft recommends adding a personal account so access to learning history and certifications remains available even if employment changes.
- Add the corporate account to that same Learn profile so training and plans can be accessed from one place.
If a message appears saying the other account is being treated as a second personal account, do not remove the existing profile. In that case, contact Credentials Support.
