Azure OpenAI unusual-activity deployment block — request private account review

Azure OpenAI refuses my first model deployment as unusual activity. I purchased Developer support after a closed Basic-support case, but the direct ticket form still shows Basic. This blocks internal testing. Could a Microsoft engineer arrange a private account-restriction review and confirm the correct support route? I can supply the case reference and diagnostics privately.

    Hi Pierre,

The 715-123420 message is being seen in other recent Azure OpenAI/Foundry deployment cases and is generally associated with a service-side account or subscription risk check, rather than the model configuration itself.

Since you've already purchased Developer support but the new ticket flow still shows Basic, I would avoid opening more deployment attempts for now.

When contacting Microsoft, provide the existing case number and ask for a review of the 715-123420 restriction on the subscription/account. Include the failed deployment's:

    • UTC timestamp
    • Region and model
    • Trace/Correlation ID
    • Client Request ID
    • Service Request ID

Keep the subscription and tenant IDs for the private support case rather than posting them here.

Microsoft's support documentation confirms that technical support requests require an eligible support plan, and existing requests can be managed from Azure Portal > Help + support > All support requests.
