Unable to use my college account for SWAY

Last year my college email was able to sign into SWAY, but now when I try to sign in it loops the page asking me to enter my email again. Hitting enter doesn't prompt any error messages or new options. I tried to sign up for a Microsoft account using the email afterwards, it told me one already exists. When clicking the login button below, I put the same email in again and it told me an account does not exist. What could be causing this? I am also having a similar issue with Canvas. For some reason I am able to sign in to the browser, just not anything I need for college.

    Dear @Dylan Mcteer (50081383),

Good day! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

Based on your description, I understand that you were previously able to access Sway using your college account, but you are now experiencing a sign-in loop where you're repeatedly asked to enter your email address. You also receive conflicting messages indicating that an account both exists and does not exist, and you're encountering similar sign-in issues with Canvas and other college-related services. To better understand the issue, could you please help us with the following:

    • Are you able to successfully sign in to other Microsoft services such as Outlook, Microsoft 365, or your college portal using the same account?
    • Does the issue occur in multiple browsers or when using an InPrivate/Incognito window?
    • Have there been any recent changes to your college account, such as a password reset or account migration?
    • Have you confirmed with your college IT department that your account is still licensed and authorized to use Sway?

In the meantime, please try the following steps:

    • Sign out of all Microsoft accounts in your browser
    • Clear your browser cache and cookies
    • Open an InPrivate/Incognito browser window and attempt to sign in again
    • Try using a different browser or device
    • If available, test access using a personal network instead of your campus network

Since you're experiencing similar issues with Canvas and other college resources, this may be related to your college account configuration or authentication settings.

If the issue persists after testing the above steps, I recommend contacting your college IT Help Desk to verify your account status and sign-in configuration.

Thank you for your kindness and understanding!
