Some Dynamics 365 records are missing after exporting data to Excel

I exported a Dynamics 365 view to a dynamic Excel worksheet for work, but some recently created records are missing even though they are visible in Dynamics 365. The issue remains after refreshing the worksheet. What could prevent these records from appearing, and how can I confirm whether the problem is related to the view filters, user permissions, or the Excel connection?

    Hi @Jins Hall

Could you please confirm whether this behavior occurs with any Dynamic Worksheet exported from Dynamics 365, or only with a specific workbook? Also, does the same behavior occur when exporting from a different device or using another user account? If the issue is reproducible across multiple devices and users, it may indicate a Dynamics 365 view, filter, or security-related issue rather than an Excel client issue.

If this issue involves data exported from a workflow or view in Microsoft Dynamics 365, it would be best handled by a Dynamics 365 specialist, as the behavior may be related to view filters, security permissions, or data retrieval within the Dynamics environment.

For further investigation, I recommend posting your question in the official Dynamics 365 Community forum via Find Answers | Microsoft Dynamics 365 Community

When creating your post, try to include:

The Dynamics 365 application/module you are using (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, etc.).

The name of the view that was exported to Excel.

Whether the missing records are visible in the same Dynamics 365 view before export.

Whether the issue occurs with all Dynamic Worksheet exports or only a specific workbook.

Whether the same behavior occurs when testing from another device or user account.

Any screenshots, refresh errors, or permission-related messages (if available).

The Dynamics experts there can help determine whether the missing records are being excluded by view filters, security permissions, or other Dynamics 365 configuration settings, and advise on the appropriate remediation steps.

    I hope this helps.
