Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Hi Lisa J,
Good day. This error usually points to the issue with the saved Google sign-in token for that particular Gmail account. Since your other Gmail accounts still work, it's less likely to be a general Outlook problem. You already tried removing the account and Microsoft app access, so this time let's try clearing the old Google credentials from Windows:
- Close New Outlook completely.
- On your Windows, search for Credential Manager and open it.
- Select Windows Credentials > Generic Credentials.
- Look for entries starting with MicrosoftOffice16_Data that reference tp_google_imap_Oauth2.
- Remove the entries belonging to the affected Gmail account. Microsoft notes that there can be two credentials for each Gmail account, so make sure both are removed.
- Open New Outlook and add the Gmail account again. When Google asks for permission, select Allow.
By the way, don't remove the credentials for your other two Gmail accounts if they're working fine.
Microsoft has documented this type of OAuth credential issue with Gmail and recommends clearing the affected Google credentials before signing in again.
If it still gives INVALIDCREDENTIALS TEMPORARILYUNAVAILABLE after this, you check the Gmail account's IMAP access and Google security settings next rather than repeatedly removing and adding the account.
Update me once nothing works.
Regards,
Jhun
