I keep using the QR code over and over and keep getting the same mesage.

What happened to this and why did I lose this functionality????

How can i get this back?????

    Hi!

First, it's important to know what problem you were having when you called Support.

Were you having login issues with Link to Phone, Windows, or another app?

Try a full relink of Phone Link and Link to Windows:

    1. On the Android phone, open Link to Windows.
    2. If the device is still listed, go to Settings and Sign out, then confirm. The app closes automatically after sign-out.
    3. Reopen Link to Windows.
    4. Sign in with the Microsoft account again.
    5. Follow the on-screen steps to relink the phone with the PC.

    When using the QR code:

    1. Start linking from the PC.
    2. On the phone, when asked Is there a QR code on your PC?, tap it.
    3. Select Allow so the Link to Windows app can take pictures and record videos.
    4. Use the app to scan the QR code.

Also verify these setup requirements before retrying:

    • The PC and Android phone are nearby.
    • Both are turned on.
    • Both are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

If the code matching or QR process has been retried too many times, close and reopen Phone Link on the PC and begin setup again from there. After more than 3 failed code-match attempts, the app can block linking temporarily and then prompt for permissions instead of matching codes.

If the linked device cannot be found during reconnection, sign out in Link to Windows, reopen it, sign in again, and complete the relink steps.

If the issue continues, submit feedback from:

    • Android: Link to Windows > Settings > Provide Feedback
    • PC: Phone Link > Settings > Feedback & Community
