How to install Windows Fax and Scan.

If Windows Fax and Scan already appears in Settings > System > Optional features > Installed features and the only available action is Remove, that means it is already installed.

To open it:

1. Open Start.
2. Search for Windows Fax and Scan.
3. Launch the app.

If it does not open or cannot be found in Start even though it is listed as installed, use one of these supported install paths:

1. Go to Settings > System > Optional features.
2. Select View features.
3. Search for fax.
4. Select Windows Fax and Scan.
5. Click Next, then Install.

For older Windows feature management, it can also be enabled from:

1. Open Control Panel.
2. Select Programs > Programs and Features.
3. Select Turn Windows features on or off.
4. Under Print and Document Services, select Windows Fax and Scan.
5. Click OK.

On Windows 10 version 2004 and later, Windows Fax and Scan is a Feature on Demand with capability name Print.Fax.Scan~~~~0.0.1.0. After Windows 11 version 22H2, it is not preinstalled.
