BING rewards cancelling my 'streak'.

Every day I complete searches, etc., in order to earn reward points. Yet every day Microsoft tells me that I missed a day, and every day they reset my streak to "0". Every day I set the "streak protection" button to "on". Yet the next day, streak protection is off, and my streak is 0. This is obviously a computer glitch. How do I fix it?

This is usually an account-specific Microsoft Rewards tracking issue rather than a setting that can be repaired locally.

    What can be checked first:

    1. Confirm the Daily Set is fully completed and shows the green checkmark.
    2. Make sure the same Microsoft account is being used each day.
    3. Avoid VPN use or devices with a different time zone, because streaks are based on the device’s time zone and that can cause the system not to recognize the streak.
    4. On the Rewards dashboard, turn on Streak protection and then click the Streak Protection title in the information bar to verify remaining protection days. The feature must be enabled to see the remaining days.

    Important details about Streak protection:

    • It starts with 14 days.
    • It uses one protection day if a daily task is missed while protection is active.
    • It cannot be replenished during the year; it resets at the start of a new calendar year.

Because the toggle is turning off and the streak is resetting repeatedly, the supported path is to contact Microsoft Rewards Support so the account activity can be reviewed. Include:

    • the date the streak resets
    • that Streak protection was turned on
    • screenshots showing the toggle/state if available
    • whether any VPN, different device, browser profile, or time zone change was involved

    Hi Wes or Kathy Roché-ZUJKO,

Since Streak protection turns itself off after being enabled, the first thing I would try is resetting the saved website data for the Rewards dashboard:

    • Sign out of Microsoft Rewards.
    • In your browser settings, remove the cookies and site data specifically for bing.com and rewards.bing.com.
    • Close the browser completely, reopen it, and sign back in.
    • Enable Streak protection, refresh the page, and check whether the switch remains on.

You can also test the Rewards dashboard in a different supported browser.

Before the next daily reset, take screenshots showing:

    • The completed Daily Set with its check marks
    • The current streak count
    • Streak protection enabled and the remaining protection days
    • The date and time displayed on the device

If the switch turns off or the streak resets again, please submit those screenshots through the Microsoft Rewards Support form. Make sure the form is opened while signed in to the affected Microsoft account, and mention that the problem occurs repeatedly rather than being a one-time missed activity.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and contributors cannot access Rewards account records or restore a streak through the back-end system, so an account-level review must be handled by the Rewards Support team. You can also review the official Microsoft Rewards Streak protection guidance.

I hope the support team can identify why the activity and protection setting are not being retained. Thank you so much for your understanding.
