How do I retrieve my past certifications going back to 1990?

Use these checks in order:

1. Sign in to the correct Microsoft Learn profile.
   • Open the Learn profile and check Credentials and Transcript.
   • Credentials shows certifications and Applied Skills.
   • Transcript shows active certifications, exams passed, Applied Skills credentials, and training modules completed.
2. Try every Microsoft account that may have been used over the years.
   • Older certifications are often attached to a different login than the one currently being used.
   • This can include both personal Microsoft accounts and work or school accounts.
   • The contact email that received certification messages is not always the same as the sign-in account for the profile.
3. Check whether the certification is a legacy certification.
   • Some older exams and certifications have aged out of the Certification Program and are no longer available in customer Learn profiles.
4. If the certification was earned through Certiport, check the Certiport account instead.
   • Certiport-earned exams and certifications are not currently reflected in the Microsoft Learn profile.
   • Those credentials must be viewed, downloaded, and shared from the Certiport Test Candidate account until integration is completed.
5. If the credential still does not appear, contact Microsoft Credentials Support.
   • This is the documented path for missing credentials or older records that are not visible in Learn.

For employer validation, the current supported proof methods are:

• Share the Learn Transcript from the profile.
• Open Credentials in Learn and view the certification details.
• If available in the Certification Dashboard, use View Certificates or View Transcript to download or share proof.
