Lost 1st 3 pages of Word document

created a document, saved it and when opened the document, there were 3 blank pages and the 4th had information I created. I have a Mac. I am hoping I can recover my document however, I’ve tried everything I found to recover my document

    The AI response re AutoRecover is useless. The AutoRecover feature is effective only in the event of a critical failure... And not always successful.

    A major consideration is where the document is stored. Remote clouds [such as iCloud, G👀gle Cloud, etc.] are not adequately designed to support editing of Office documents. Users often report data loss similar to what you describe. Always edit on local device(s). Use remote locations only for archiving & backups.

    Is there anything on the first three pages that you can select, although there is no readable text? In that case, investigate the formatting. Maybe the text is in white color (making it invisible on the page background) or something else has happened to the appearance.

    Displaying nonprinting characters may also help (click the ¶ icon no the Home tab).

    If the document is synchronized with OneDrive, you can also take a look at the version history at https://onedrive.live.com .
