unable to renew AI-102

For AI-102, renewal is only available during the six-month window before the certification expires. The screenshot shows the certification is still Active and expires on September 21, 2026, so the renewal assessment should not be available yet if the six-month eligibility window has not opened.

Microsoft Learn states:

• role-based certifications expire after one year
• renewal opens six months before expiration
• the only renewal path is the free online renewal assessment on Microsoft Learn

To check renewal availability:

1. Sign in to the correct Microsoft Learn profile.
2. Select the profile photo avatar.
3. Open Profile.
4. Select Certifications.
5. Look for the blue Renew button next to the certification when the six-month window opens.

If the email arrived but the button is unavailable, there is also a documented Q&A case for Azure AI Engineer Associate where the renewal page showed an incorrect eligibility message and Microsoft reported it as an issue under investigation. In that case, check the renewal page periodically.
