    Hi , could you share the exact message Excel displays when you try to edit? A screenshot would help—please hide any personal information.

    Please also try opening a new blank workbook and typing into a cell. Does editing fail there too, or only in an existing file?

    This will help me narrow down whether the issue is with Office activation or restrictions on a particular workbook.
