How do I stop having unwanted shortcuts appear on my home page?

I understand that you want to keep only the shortcuts you have pinned, without Edge automatically adding sites you visit frequently.

The Show promoted links setting only controls sponsored or suggested links. Edge may still populate available Quick Link spaces with frequently visited sites based on browsing history. Currently, there does not appear to be a separate setting that disables only these automatically generated shortcuts while keeping your pinned links visible.

As a workaround, you can:

• Hover over an unwanted shortcut, select the three-dot menu, and choose Remove.
• Pin your preferred shortcuts and, if possible, fill the available Quick Link spaces with sites you choose.
• Send this as a feature request through Edge > Settings and more (...) > Help and feedback > Send feedback, asking for an option to show pinned shortcuts only.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum, so contributors cannot directly change Edge features. Feedback submitted from Edge is the best way to send this request to the product team.
