Copy/ paste issue in MS excel 2024,2021, 2019 and 2016

I would like to inform you that this behavior is currently being tracked as an incident, as some users have reported experiencing similar issues after installing recent Office updates. Based on the information currently available, it is possible that the problem is caused by a software defect in the current Office version.

As the next troubleshooting step, I recommend temporarily reverting Office to a previous build and then testing the affected functionality again. This will help determine whether the issue is specifically associated with the latest Office update.

Before proceeding, please save your work and close all Office applications. If your device is managed by your organization, I recommend coordinating the rollback with your IT administrator to ensure that the change complies with your organization’s update policies.

After reverting Office, please reproduce the same steps that previously caused the issue. If the problem no longer occurs on the previous build, this would strongly indicate that the behavior is related to the latest Office update. If the issue remains present, additional investigation may be required to rule out other potential causes, such as Office add-ins, local configurations, or file-specific behavior.

Please also be aware that End of support for Office 2016 and Office 2019 | Microsoft Support on October 14, 2025. Although the Office 2016 applications may continue to run, Microsoft no longer provides security updates, bug fixes, or technical support for this product. As a result, issues affecting Office 2016 may not receive a permanent fix.

To maintain security, reliability, compatibility, and access to future product updates, I strongly recommend planning an upgrade to a currently supported version of Office.
