Microsoft project management software used to plan, manage, and communicate a project schedule and other information among workgroup members, project managers, and other stakeholders.
Your Microsoft personal account and work account can coexist on the Mac. The main consideration is that the Mac will likely be managed by your new employer through tools such as Microsoft Intune, Jamf, or another MDM system. That management can enforce security requirements, install certificates or applications, require encryption and screen locks, control access to corporate resources, and potentially restrict how corporate data can be copied or shared. Your personal Windows PC would remain outside those controls unless you install company management software on it.
Microsoft 365 applications on macOS are broadly equivalent to their Windows versions, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 web applications. However, there are some feature differences, particularly in advanced Excel functionality, certain Office add-ins, VBA/macros, Windows-specific integrations, and some administrative or security features. If your work depends on Windows-only applications, COM add-ins, or specific Excel functionality, that is something to check with your new company.
Your personal Microsoft account and work account are separate identities even when they use the same email address or are both signed into Microsoft applications. On the Mac, you may see account-selection prompts when accessing OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, or Office. OneDrive is particularly important because your personal OneDrive and your organization's OneDrive/SharePoint storage should remain separate. You should avoid accidentally saving company files into your personal OneDrive or personal files into a company-managed location.
The bigger issue will likely be your new company's security policy. The fact that your previous employer approved using your personal Microsoft account for collaboration does not carry over to the new employer. Your new company may prohibit personal accounts from accessing corporate resources, prohibit sharing corporate files with personal accounts, or use Conditional Access and Microsoft Purview policies to control downloads, copying, external sharing, or access from unmanaged devices. A company-managed Mac can also be subject to data-loss-prevention policies that are different from those on your personal Windows PC.
Using both computers is relatively straightforward from the technical standpoint, but you'll likely need to keep the identities and data clearly separated - use the company Mac primarily for company resources and your personal Windows PC for personal resources. If your new company explicitly permits using your personal Microsoft account for collaboration, you can continue doing so, but the permission should come from the new company's IT/security policy rather than being assumed from your previous employer's approval.
