I need help recovering an old Family Safety account. I forgot the email.

Good day. The first thing that's need to do is to figure out which Microsoft account was used as the Family Safety organizer. You won't be able to remove the family member until you can get back into that organizer account.

I would recommend you these first:

1. Use Microsoft's Forgotten your Microsoft account username tool. It can help find the account if you still have access to the phone number or alternate email that was linked to it.
2. If you don't remember those details either, check any older Windows PCs where you may have used the account. Go to Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts and see if the old Microsoft account is still listed.
3. By the way, it's also worth checking old Microsoft emails, receipts, or Office apps. Sometimes the forgotten account address is still shown there.

If you can't find any old emails, devices, or other records showing the account, try Microsoft's Sign in helper first. It may help identify the account or point you to the right recovery option.

If you still can't find the email address, check whether another adult in the Family Safety group is listed as an organizer. They may be able to remove the person for you.

If there are no other organizers and the original account can't be identified or recovered, unfortunately, the Family Safety group can't simply be moved to a new Microsoft account. At that point, Microsoft Support can guide you through the available account-recovery options, but they'll still need to verify ownership.
