I recently bought a gaming pc from rent a center and its saying I need to activate windows. when i try to do it, it tells me no activation key is found on my machine but I'm using windows 11 now its saying I need to purchase a copy of windows to get a new key. Is this my only option as the prompt to activate stays in the lower right-hand corner of my screen and won't go away. Any help is much appreciated

    Hello,

If you have already had a Windows computer, check the Activation troubleshooter that is located on the Activation page. Once the troubleshooter completes running, select "I changed hardware on this device recently". Sign into your Microsoft account and see if you have any licenses available for you to use.

If not, you will have to purchase a Windows 11 Home (or Pro) license to activate Windows.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
