how do i get my favorites list back which has my sites i go to. and all my log in info is gone and not saving

new page removed my favorites list with the necessary sites i need.

all my log in information is missing and not saving.

do NOT like this new page at all.

info only shows up on old page.

and how do i go back to the old page?

Hi kittykat,

I understand how disruptive this is, especially when the previous page gave you quick access to websites and sign-in information you use regularly.

First, please select the profile icon in the upper-right corner of Microsoft Edge and make sure you are using the same Edge profile and Microsoft account as before. If Edge opened a different or new profile, your existing Favorites and saved passwords may still be stored under the original profile.

You can also check your actual Favorites directly by entering edge://favorites in the address bar. If the websites are listed there, press Ctrl + Shift + B to show the Favorites bar. If you mean the website shortcuts shown on the New Tab page, open a new tab, select the gear icon, and review the Quick links and layout settings.

For the sign-in issue, enter edge://settings/privacy/clearBrowsingData/clearOnClose and make sure Cookies and other site data is turned off. Then check edge://settings/passwords to confirm that password saving and autofill are enabled.

Unfortunately, Edge may not provide an option to restore a retired New Tab page design. However, the checks above can help determine whether the original data is still available in another profile rather than deleted. Please let us know whether the missing Favorites appear at edge://favorites and whether more than one Edge profile is listed. Thank you so much for your understanding.

In Microsoft Edge, the old Reading list, tabs set aside, and some older saved items were moved into Favorites.

To look for the missing saved sites:

Open Edge.
Select the three dots in the top-right.
Select Favorites.
Check Other favorites.
Look for folders such as Reading list saves or Tabs set aside.

If the Favorites bar is missing, turn it back on:

Select the three dots in the top-right.
Select Favorites.
In the Favorites pane, select the three dots.
Select Show favorites bar.
Choose Always or Only on new tabs.

If favorites were deleted, the built-in recovery feature was removed in Edge version 128.0.2739.42 and later. If using an earlier version that still has the feature, open Favorites and select the Restore deleted favorites icon. That recovery only works for items deleted in the last 28 days.

If the recovery option is not available, one documented fallback is to check whether Windows has an older local copy of the Edge bookmarks file:

Open File Explorer.
Go to %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default.
Find Bookmarks.
Right-click it and select Properties > Previous versions.
If a previous version exists, restore it.

Warning: restoring a previous version replaces the current bookmarks file.

For the missing sign-in and saved login issue, Edge not keeping cookies or sessions across restarts can cause sites to sign out again and Remember me to stop working. The documented causes include browser privacy settings, tracking prevention, site permissions, enterprise policies, system clock drift, extensions, or a corrupted profile.

For saved passwords and autofill settings, check:

Open Edge Settings.
Go to Saved info.
Open Passwords and make sure Offer to save passwords is turned On.
If needed, also check Addresses and more and Payment info.
Go to Settings > Sync and verify sync is enabled for the data to keep across signed-in devices.

There is no supported step here to switch Edge back to an older page or restore retired old Edge features. The current supported path is to use Favorites and related settings in the current Edge experience.
