Try signing in directly to Microsoft 365 instead of using the invitation or download link.

    1. Open a browser and go to https://www.office.com.
    2. Select Sign in.
    3. Sign in with the Microsoft 365 work or school account that has the assigned license.
    4. If sign-in succeeds, look for Install apps in the upper-right corner.
    5. Select Install apps > Microsoft 365 apps.

If the same redirect loop appears, test these browser checks in order:

    1. Open an InPrivate window and try again.
    2. Try a different browser.
    3. Clear cached images/files and cookies, then retry.
    4. In Edge, go to edge://extensions and temporarily turn off extensions one by one to check whether one is interfering.
    5. Try a new Edge profile:
      • Select the profile icon in the upper-left corner of Edge.
      • Select Add profile > Add.
      • Retry the sign-in and download in that new profile.
    6. If downloads start but then fail, check the download folder in edge://settings/downloads and verify the folder exists, is writable, and the disk is not full.

If the issue happens only from the email link but not from https://www.office.com, the problem is likely the invitation link path rather than the Microsoft 365 app installation itself.

If the issue occurs across multiple browsers, InPrivate, another device, and direct sign-in at https://www.office.com, the problem is likely with the account sign-in flow rather than the local browser session.
