Use the Windows Bluetooth troubleshooting guide here:
- For Windows 11 and Windows 10, the main guide is Fix Bluetooth problems in Windows.
- On Windows 11, start with the Bluetooth troubleshooter in the Get Help app.
- Then follow the general checks in this order:
- Verify the PC supports Bluetooth.
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
- Check the Bluetooth device is powered on, charged, and in range.
- Make the PC discoverable if the device does not appear.
- Make sure Airplane mode is off.
- Turn Bluetooth off and back on.
- Remove the device and pair it again.
- Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter.
- Update the Bluetooth driver in Device Manager.
- If needed, uninstall the Bluetooth adapter in Device Manager, shut down, turn the PC back on, and let Windows reinstall it. If Windows does not reinstall it automatically, use Action > Scan for hardware changes.
Driver issues are one of the most common causes of Bluetooth problems. If Windows does not find a newer driver, get the latest Bluetooth driver from the PC manufacturer.
If Bluetooth is completely missing on a new PC, check the device specifications first because some devices do not include Bluetooth hardware.
