After update KB5124008 my HDMI audio stopped working from PC. Windows is not recognizing my BOSE Cinemate system in sound settings or drivers. I've tried uninstalling update, refreshing drivers...no luck

    Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    To be able to assist you better, please clarify the following:

    • What is the exact model of the Bose system?
    • How exactly are the cables connected? (e.g., PC > TV via HDMI and TV > Bose via optical cable, or directly to the speaker?)
    • Is there a red circle with an "X" over the speaker icon next to the clock? (When you hover your mouse over it, does it say "No audio output device is installed"?)

    Share a screenshot of the "Playback" tab of the sound options.

    1. Press "Windows + R", type mmsys.cpl and press Enter;
    2. Select the "Playback" tab and take the screenshot.

    Use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

    Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    Looking forward to your reply.
