When clicking a task field in MS Planner you need to click again to start typing in the field.

When editing or changing anything in task lines within Planner groups the field doesn't actually activate for typing and you need to click again. This wasn't always the case its a new problem for the last month or two. I assume like all other MS Planner users they are just dealing with it but I need a solution because this software is becoming worse not better.

    Hi Chris,

At this point, I'm unable to replicate the issue that matches the behavior you're describing. To help narrow down whether this is a broader service issue or something specific to your environment, could you provide a bit more information?

    • Are you experiencing this in the Planner web app, Microsoft Teams, or both?
    • Does the issue occur in all plans/tasks or only in a specific plan?
    • Have you tested in a different browser or an InPrivate/Incognito window, and does the behavior remain the same?
    • Are any of your colleagues experiencing the same issue?
    • Does the problem occur when editing all task fields, or only specific fields such as the task title, bucket name, notes, or checklist items?

To ensure I provide the most accurate assistance, I would appreciate any additional information you can share regarding your current situation. If possible, please include screenshots, as they can be very helpful in the investigation.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me at any time.

I look forward to your response.
