Using MS Excel v2.113.5; Can not save ANY excel files on IOS v 26.6; the tablet dialog box says "saving [file name] working on it." but does not respond. Can not export or print as PDF. Only option is to use Microsoft Online which is not ideal. Anyone experiencing issues?

    Good evening,

I am facing the same issue than the one raised in the thread my father has an iPad Pro and installed 2 days ago the new excel app 2.113.5 and the followings are happening

    • Modifications done in a local file are randomly save but most of the time not save when closing / reopening the file
    • We are sharing a file on onedrive where both of us are working, he is not able to access anymore and no modification are allowed - the cloud update is turning in circle…

We did several operations of troubleshooting : disconnect the account and reconnect, reset the login but nothing worked. I need to check if offloading the app, reinstalling could help.

I don t understand how such event can happen - Microsoft is not running non regression test before releasing their last version… we are paying yearly subscription and we are blocked now and not able to work !!!! When are you planning to correct this bug and have a new release?

Thank you for your prompt update and quick actions ! Much appreciated !

    Hi Drew,

    Thank you for reaching out.

To better understand the issue, please confirm the following information:

    • Where are you trying to save the file? For example:
      • OneDrive for Business
      • SharePoint
      • iCloud Drive
      • On My iPad
    • Does the issue affect every workbook, including a newly created blank workbook, or only specific files?
    • Does Excel display an error after waiting, or does “Working on it” remain indefinitely?
    • Are other users in your Microsoft 365 tenant experiencing the same issue on their iPhones or iPads?

In the meantime, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Test a new workbook
    • Create a blank workbook in Excel.
    • Enter a value in cell A1.
    • Try saving it to the same location as the affected workbook.
    • Try exporting it as a PDF.
    1. Test a local save
    • Select Save a Copy.
    • Choose On My iPad as the destination.
    • Use a short filename, such as Test.xlsx.
    1. Test another storage location
    • If the original file is stored in OneDrive or SharePoint, try saving a copy to On My iPad or iCloud Drive.
    • Please confirm that there is sufficient available storage. Also verify that you can upload or save another file to the same folder.
    1. Test another existing workbook
    • Open a different workbook and try saving or exporting it.
    • This will help determine whether the issue affects all files or only a particular workbook.

Thank you for your time and patience. Looking forward to your response.
