Dear Microsoft Outlook Team,

  • Eliminating the ability to delete an individual suggested email is moronic. The clear cache feature does not solve the problem.
  • Confusion will continue until your AI makes a distinction about old v new.
  • The order in which emails are suggested is random and lacks any sense too.
    • Why would an External Email that I use maybe 5 times annually and falls alphabetically below someone in my organization be suggested above them?
      • Because your sort order is based on the email address itself not the persons name?

p.s. Also the spellcheck is not working well and not an improvement. Right click was superior. Hover with a mouse and then switch to a keyboard? TIMWOODS

Hello Gordon Rowe III,

In Outlook, when you begin typing in the To, Cc, or Bcc field, the Contact Suggestions list searches available information such as the recipient’s first name, last name, email address, and other contact details, including a phone number when available. The suggested list is then refined with each character entered. Depending on the account, the suggestions may come from personal contacts, organizational contacts, or names and addresses previously used to send messages.

You can find more information here: Manage suggested recipients in the To, Cc, and Bcc fields in Outlook | Microsoft Support

I understand your point, and as an Outlook user myself, I agree that having a more convenient way to exclude or manage unwanted suggestions could make the recipient selection experience much easier.

However, this is a user-to-user community, and the Outlook Product Team does not directly manage feature requests through this forum. For that reason, the most appropriate place to share this suggestion is the Microsoft Feedback Portal: Outlook · Community

User's image

The Feedback Portal is the dedicated channel for submitting product ideas and improvement requests. Feedback and user comments can help the Product Team better understand how a feature is being used and where improvements may be valuable.

After submitting your request, you are welcome to return to this discussion and paste the feedback link into the thread. Other users with the same requirement can then open the link and vote for the suggestion, which may help bring additional visibility to it.

Kind regards,
