Adding Outlook to my iPhone - account verification not working

  • Wish to add my existing Outlook email to my new iPhone.
  • The email account has blocked to force verification.
  • The email account is linked to another for verification purposes.
  • If a code is sent to the alt email, this is accepted on the site and directs me to the recover your details form.
  • I complete the recover your details form, with as much info as I can (all sections completed).
  • I receive no reply to the submission (so far at 3 full days since submission).
  • I have tried resubmitting the form.
  • I am checking junk mail.
  • I've added ******@accountprotection.microsoft.com to safe senders.
  • I've completed the form from my old phone.

Is there anything else I can do as I really need this account?

    Try these steps next:

    1. Verify that the code is being sent to a valid verification method. Verification codes sent by email can only be sent to the primary alias or another email already added as a sign-in verification method. In the Microsoft account security area, go to Security basics > Update info and confirm the alternate email or phone is correct.
    2. Stop requesting repeated codes for a while. Excessive or repetitive requests can cause Microsoft to temporarily block code delivery. Waiting before trying again can help.
    3. Check the alternate email carefully. Valid Microsoft verification messages come from @accountprotection.microsoft.com. Check Junk mail as well.
    4. If using a phone number, confirm it is a mobile number. VOIP numbers cannot be used to receive Microsoft verification codes.
    5. On the iPhone, add the account directly with the supported sign-in flow:
      • Go to Settings > Apps > Mail > Mail Accounts > Add Account
      • Select Outlook.com
      • Enter the email address and password
      • If two-step verification is enabled, complete the verification prompt
      • Approve Let this app access your info?
    6. If iPhone Mail continues to fail, use Outlook for iOS instead. Outlook for iOS supports adding the account directly by entering the email address and following the authentication prompts.
    7. If the issue is specifically with the iOS Mail app, contact Apple Support. If the account is an Outlook.com or other personal Microsoft account and sign-in still fails, contact Microsoft support.

The context does not provide any supported way to speed up or track the recovery form response beyond checking the mailbox and junk folder, so the practical next actions are to confirm the security info, avoid repeated code requests, and try signing in through Outlook for iOS or the iPhone Mail setup flow.

If you never receive any reply to your Account Recovery Request, try using a different alternate email address when you fill in the form. Doesn't have to be one you own. e.g. A trusted friend or relative who can forward you the results of your submission.

Is there anything else I can do as I really need this account?

Read thru the Account Recovery Unsuccessful document to be sure you are doing everything possible.
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/account-recovery-unsuccessful-dc56c3e3-dff0-4ed5-8edb-60290eea6b53

Other than that there is nothing else to try. Microsoft has made the automated recovery process untouchable. No human can exert any influence on your behalf. No human will ever look at your Account Recovery form. The automated process checks only if you have answered the specific questions on the form. Anything else is ignored.

Microsoft Support Agents can not unlock an account, reset your password, or change any Security Settings no matter what documentation you can present.

I am sorry. I know that losing access to your account is more than just an inconvenience, it can cause real hardships. I wish I could give you another answer.
