Unable to log into Word Document and Everything is Gray / Please Advise

I have purchased Microsoft and have a product Key yet it is not working and tells me I have to repurchase. I am not purchasing again and mainly use Word to create typed Documents. Please advise on any way to fix this issue as I have a very busy day ahead of me and am trying to stay on top of my To Do List. Thank You for your time and attention to this matter.

    If your product key was properly registered in your Microsoft account (as described by DaveM121), you should be able to repair the installation following the instructions at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/repair-an-office-application-7821d4b6-7c1d-4205-aa0e-a6b40c5bb88b.
