If you purchased directly from Microsoft, you should see the product in your account at https://account.microsoft.com/services . This will tell you which account you need to use when you sign into an Office app such as Word.

If you purchased the Office apps from a 3rd part retailer, did you enter your product key on this link to register the Office licence on your Microsoft account.

    https://setup.office.com/Home?wa=wsignin1.0

If no, log into your Microsoft account on this link, do you see your Office licence linked to your account there, and is that where you installed the Offices from on your Mac.

    https://account.microsoft.com/services/

If that is the process you used, open Finder on your Mac and go to the Applications folder, do you find the Office apps installed in there.
