Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
For a disabled Microsoft 365 for business subscription, global or billing admins can reactivate it in the Microsoft 365 admin center. Since Reactivate subscription is failing with “There was a problem submitting your request”, use this path:
- Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
- Go to Billing:
- Simplified view: select Billing.
- Dashboard view: go to Billing > Your products.
- Select the affected subscription.
- Try Reactivate again:
- For MCA billing accounts: in Billing settings under Subscription status, select Reactivate, then select Reactivate again.
- For MOSA billing accounts: in Subscription and payment settings under Subscription status, select Reactivate subscription, choose or add a payment method, then select Reactivate.
Before retrying, confirm the account has the required role:
- MCA: Billing account owner/contributor, or Billing profile owner/contributor.
- MOSA: at least Billing Administrator.
If the subscription is in Disabled status, it can still be reactivated in the admin center. If the reactivation request continues to fail, contact Microsoft support from the admin center:
- In the admin center, open Support > Help & Support.
- Enter a description of the issue.
- If the suggested results do not help, select Contact Support and submit the case.
If access to Office apps is needed immediately while the renewal/reactivation issue is being resolved, use the web apps at microsoft365.com.
