Organizing and accessing contact information in Outlook.com
For an MSN/Outlook.com account, the list to review is the Blocked senders and domains list in Outlook.com junk email settings.
Use this path in Outlook.com:
- Open Settings.
- Go to View all Outlook settings.
- Open Mail > Junk email.
- Review Blocked senders and domains.
- If an important sender or domain appears there, remove it.
- Add important contacts to Safe senders and domains.
If mail from a blocked sender is still appearing, or if expected mail is still not arriving after checking the blocked list, the documented causes are:
- The sender may be changing email addresses. Create an Inbox rule to catch common words and move those messages.
- The visible sender address may not be the real sender address. Check the internet message headers and block or allow the real address instead.
If important messages are being treated as junk rather than blocked, first check the Junk Email folder, then add those senders to Safe senders and domains.
If self-help does not solve it, Outlook.com support is available from within Outlook.com:
- Select Help on the menu bar and enter the issue.
- If that does not solve it, scroll to Still need help? and select Yes.
- If sign-in is part of the problem, use the separate support entry point provided on the support page.
