Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Hi!
This type of issue with Spectrum is common with Outlook Classic. When Outlook attempts to automatically detect Spectrum's server information, it encounters an error and fails.
The solution is to check the "Set up my account manually" box and enter the server and port information manually. You can find these details on the Spectrum website.

You can also try configuring it via the Mail applet in the Control Panel:
- Press Windows + R > type
control> Under View By, select Large Icons > Click on Mail (Microsoft Outlook).
WARNING: If your email is POP, you should back up your Data Files as a precaution in Documents > Outlook Files.
- Click on Show Profiles > Remove your current Profile > Close the window and then open it again.
- Click on Show Profiles again > Add > Add a name > Go back to the previous window and click on Add Account.
- Select Manual setup or additional server types > POP or IMAP > Fill in the requested fields with your account information.
- You should be able to obtain all this information from your email provider or IT department.
- Click on More Settings > Fill in more information in Outgoing Server and Advanced.
- Click OK > Next.
