Hi!
Retail laptops often come with outdated versions and a lot of software that can interfere with performance and other apps.
Bluetooth issues are usually caused by driver faults or interference from third-party software. The first step is to reinstall the driver. Once that is resolved, you can try to fix the Phone Link issue.
- Download the Bluetooth driver from the manufacturer's official website.
- Download Realtek RTL8xxx Series Bluetooth Driver.
NOTE: This is not a Microsoft website, but it appears to provide accurate and safe information. Be wary of ads that may advertise products that are often classified as PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Products). Research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.
- After downloading, disconnect your PC from the Internet > Restart your PC.
- When Windows starts, search for "Device Manager" in the search bar > Click on the icon > Expand the "Bluetooth" tab.
- Right-click on the first Bluetooth device > Select "Uninstall device" > Check "Try to remove the driver for this device" > Confirm > Repeat this step for all Bluetooth devices in the "Bluetooth" tab.
- Restart your computer.
- Install the downloaded Bluetooth Driver > After installing the driver completely, restart your computer.
- Connect to the internet and check if the problem is resolved.
